Account Executive

We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative and fun loving team members, and are looking for an Account Executive to come join our New York based headquarters.

We are seeking someone with an uplifting personality, a passion for sales, and ability to bring efficiency to our sales team. Under the direction of the Sr. Account Executive, this person will support a wide range of responsibilities, including acting as a partner to open accounts and assisting with market appointments, executing strategies in order to maximize sales, monitoring account profitability, sell-through, and reorder trends, and researching new target accounts. The ideal candidate is someone who is a motivated team player with keen interpersonal, analytical and data skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. This role may require some travel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage market appointments/trade shows; handle paperwork, displays, sample delivery
  • Ensure accurate setup, tracking, reporting, and analysis of all sales data
  • Monitor and analyze profitability by account and identify areas of opportunity in regards to sell through, mark-downs, cancellations, returns, etc. to make recommendations to accounts, and create door-by-door action plans
  • Conduct market research in order to make actionable and insightful recommendations for new/improved product and sales positioning, and targeting new accounts  
  • Develop and execute workable in-store activation strategies
  • Assist in the management of Field Sales team
  • Manage merchandise assortments & sample tracking for accounts
  • Detailed communication of relevant information to stakeholders, especially clients if there are any unforeseen circumstances
  • Work closely with brand & marketing teams to create & execute consumer facing product knowledge content; travel to specific accounts to communicate it

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; Master's a plus
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in a fast paced, fashion/apparel environment
  • Experience with EDI or related sales software systems
  • Ability to think quickly and strategically while meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with propensity to suggest and drive solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to create and communicate a clear, inspiring vision and translate it into a practical, results-focused action plan to impact target audience
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to learn and adjust quickly to fluid business needs and growth challenges 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite programs, especially Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability & willingness to travel
