Store Manager

This individual will support our COO and retail team in all aspects of store functions including sales generation, people development, operations and visual merchandising. The Store Manager’s focus will be on maximizing sales and driving profitability by supporting all sales activities and ensuring the execution of administrative tasks that support store operations. This will include personnel management, exceeding defined business targets while working within given budgets, and building the brand’s image through sales. This position requires a highly-detailed individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, and great work ethic that’s flexible to adapt to a changing environment.




  • Opening and closing of store
  • Balance strengths in sales, operations, merchandising and personnel management
  • Maintain great interpersonal skills to ensure clear, effective communication with all departments and staff
  • Create weekly schedules to maximize sales, eliminate wastage and ensure the right quality and caliber of staff is working
  • Ensure garment presentation, garment level and visual standards are presented as directed by Visual Merchandising Manager
  • Communicate qualitative and proactive feedback on products & visual merchandising to Visual Merchandising Manager to drive results
  • Ensure that customer issues and feedback are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain a cost-conscious approach when suggesting initiatives, reviewing bills, and making expense decisions
  • Follow up on all activities concerning campaigns, promotions and sales activities in store
  • Provide direct customer service on sales floor
  • Communicate payroll to HR as directed by People Team

Sales Generation

  • Daily monitoring of KPIs and sales results
  • Establish and implement action plans to achieve monthly/annual targets and reinforcing sales techniques to the team
  • Understand the economics of the location to anticipate potential impact on business


  • Oversee daily operations of the store
  • Create, support, implement and enforce store operations manual at all times, and provide timely updates to it as necessary
  • Organize and monitor all back office activities (stock & cash point)
  • Contribute to company growth through inventory management and the achievement of appropriate gross margin & return on investment
  • Train supervisors and sales associates in inventory management and oversee physical inventory count
  • Take actions to maintain an excellence level of cleanliness, facilities and store maintenance

People Development

  • Partner with HR to recruit and onboard retail team; define needs in terms of competencies, languages.
  • Set clear daily/monthly target (sales, customer data capture, product knowledge), and monitor performance
  • Build and maintain team spirit atmosphere that encourages high performance and fosters growth
  • Value/reward performance and manage under performance with constant feedback; schedule monthly touch bases with each member of your team, and offer corrective measures when necessary
  • Develop skills & competencies by defining a plan for each member of the team
  • Train and empower the team to develop customer loyalty
  • Ensure staff adheres to attendance and punctuality



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 4-5 years of proven experience in a similar role within other fashion luxury companies or a retail environment
  • Experience and ability to process information + merchandise through the computer and POS register system
  • Strong merchandising skills with the ability to drive the business through creativity and extensive fashion knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen
  • Talent for managing, coaching and developing a team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for fashion industry and high level of personal performance
  • Ability to lift in access of 20 pounds
  • Ability of travel as necessary (5%)
