Front End Developer

Tommy John is a disruptive apparel brand. Our online direct-to-consumer e-commerce business is exploding. We are looking for someone who is motivated to combine the art of design with the science of programming to help our site visitors achieve their goals in the shortest time possible, whether that be learning more about a product, buying something right now, or finding a local store to visit later. The ideal candidate for this role will be a motivated learner, familiar with the latest standards and best practices for fast and responsive mobile site design, including bleeding edge web frameworks/technology such as AMP and PWA. This individual will be collaborating with cross functional teams including Product, UX, UI and Marketing as well as managing stakeholder expectations, timelines and deliverables through the end of the year. Experience in HTML5, CSS3 and advanced mobile Web Design are key facets of the role.   



  • Develop and test new user-facing page elements, pages and other web interfaces
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Use the Dynamic Yield as platform to inject HTML, CSS and JS content into the site
  • Develop applications using front end web frameworks e.g. Foundation etc.
  • Create web pages using latest standards namely, AMP(Accelerated Mobile Page) and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).



  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (and JS libraries, including but not limited to NodeJS,  REACT)
  • Good understanding of best practices for Mobile, SEO and E-commerce
  • Ability to translate UX wireframes and mocks into rich interactive web content
  • Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop and knowledge of GIT or other version control software; a plus
